Henry Rono - A Story of Triumph
An epic masterwork full of great pain and tragedy, and even greater redemption and joy

Henry Rono's Future Plans

Henry has taken a leave of absence from his teaching position at Truman Middle School in Albuquerque, NM to focus on a master's mile world record at the 2007 World Master's Track & Field Championships in Italy, September 4 - 15, 2007. He also is finishing his long awaited autobiography in advance of the 30th anniversary of his four world records in 81 days in the summer of 1978 - a feat which will never be duplicated.

Henry will continue coaching and training with Team Rono. In person coaching with Team Rono in Albuquerque, NM is now being offered by invitation only. Henry, has however, made an exception for the two young future stars pictured below.
